Watch a Movie on the Lawn with Movies in the Park

June 6, 2014

Instead of going to see a movie in a regular old theater this summer, why not grab your kids, pack some blankets and chairs and grab a movie on the lawn? On June 21st, you can do just that! The best part? It’s free!

Movies in the Park will be showing Mr. Peabody & Sherman on Saturday, June 21st on a gigantic inflatable movie screen at The Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock (101 Arnold Mill Road). Moviegoers will be able to purchase popcorn, candy and other refreshments before the show, which starts at sundown. As an added bonus, parents can read full-length movie reviews about each film before the event to ensure that each movie is appropriate for their children.

Movies in the Park are free, family-friendly outdoor movie festivals that are held in parks throughout North Atlanta and Georgia all summer long. Other Movies in the Park locations include Canton (scheduled for August 30th), Alpharetta and Dawsonville. Woodstock’s movie event is sponsored by Northside Hospital-Cherokee in association with Southern Outdoor Cinema and The City of Woodstock Parks & Recreation.

See you at the movies!
