Underneath the calm and peaceful atmosphere, however, is a very dynamic practice that is constantly expanding to offer more services for clients. It’s a continuation of the growth experienced since Dr. Amy Hubert opened the doors in June 2021.
Dr. Amy said she and her staff always will be dedicated to preserving the close-knit vibe found in small communities. “For us, growing is not about getting bigger,” Dr. Amy said. “It’s about doing more for our clients and growing deeper roots within the community. We want to be the premier medspa for our neighbors, so we’ll continue growing based on what Cherokee County needs us to be.”
The goal at The Beauty Barn is to make sure clients feel the charm of genuine hospitality as soon as they walk through the front door.
Clients — or Barn Beauties, as they’re affectionately called — can expect personal attention from a licensed medical professional whose mission is to enhance natural beauty and wellness, whatever the client’s goals may be.
“With every treatment, we strive to do ‘just enough’ so you stay looking like yourself. It’s still you, but with brighter, smoother skin — and maybe even a few pounds lighter if you try out our new weight-loss solutions,” said Dr. Julie Thorne, a board-certified family nurse practitioner.

In the last year, The Beauty Barn welcomed three new providers— nurse practitioners Camlyn Lowe and Teresa Zittrauer and physician assistant Brian Palm —who joined Dr. Amy and Julie to deliver five-star medical aesthetics and wellness services. Each professional is trained and certified in highly specialized aesthetic treatments; the team includes diamond-level Botox providers, master-level trained injectors and medical weight-loss experts.
The Beauty Barn has two new full-time office staff — Ellie Lusk and Ramsie Cook — who, along with Office Manager Amy Murphy, work hard to make sure Barn Beauties have a great client experience, from scheduling to check out.

The Beauty Barn professionals offer the latest and most advanced aesthetic treatments and top-notch personal care to each client. The comprehensive lineup of nonsurgical treatments includes cosmetic injectables (Botox, Juvederm dermal fillers and Kybella double-chin reduction) and skin rejuvenation treatments (DiamondGlow exfoliation/extraction/infusion, chemical peels and micro-needling).
Clients can find several new services as well, including CoolSculpting body contouring and Beauty Barn Health, a specialty area for weight-loss treatments and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for men.
“Our HRT treatment boosts testosterone and increases vitality, so you can feel like your young self again,” said Teresa, who leads Beauty Barn Health.
Each aesthetic treatment is administered by a licensed medical professional, and most take no more than 30-60 minutes, making them easy to fit into a busy week.

The Beauty Barn is a licensed SkinMedica supplier and offers a full line of medical-grade skincare products that help with healing post-procedure skin and maintaining healthy, radiant skin in between treatments. An online store allows clients to order products to pick up or ship to their homes.

The Beauty Barn is expanding to accommodate more clients and the growing list of providers. But what the team is most excited about is the on-site expansion will include special-event space for the community and client appreciation celebrations.
“Since inception, the focus of The Beauty Barn has been to help those within our community feel confident and beautiful. The new space will help us further deliver care and treatments to everyone who becomes a part of our growing family,” Amy Murphy said.
