Angelica Hale, a student at Blank Stage Studio in Woodstock, has advanced to the finals of “America’s Got Talent,” which can be seen at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on NBC. The 9-year-old, who sings and plays the piano, has overcome a lot in her young life. When she was 4 years old, she developed a bacterial infection in her lungs that developed into double pneumonia and caused her to go septic, destroying her kidneys and ravaging her body. After three months in the hospital, that included two weeks on life support, she finally returned home but needed a kidney transplant. Doctors discovered her mother was a perfect match, and surgery was performed in 2013. To learn more about Angelica and to follow her journey, visit www.angelicahalemusic.com.
