Proceeds from this year\u2019s event will go toward the four general programs that support the mission of WPSF. For more information, including player registration and sponsorship opportunities, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/wdstk.ga\/golf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/wdstk.ga\/golf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10978\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" id=\"attachment_10978\" style=\"width: 418px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10978\" height=\"557\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/aroundwoodstockmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/SWAH-2-768x1024.jpg\" width=\"418\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\" id=\"caption-attachment-10978\">Officer Rosa Kiefer helps a child shop for Christmas gifts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Community Outreach<\/strong><br \/>\nThis program promotes awareness, improves relationships and builds partnerships between citizens, the Woodstock Police Department and Fire Department, via educational initiatives such as the Citizen\u2019s Public Safety Academy, community safety events and public safety seminars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emergency Aid<\/strong><br \/>\nAid and support are provided to Woodstock public safety personnel (police, fire and emergency medical service) and their families in times of need. On occasion, this program may provide nominal assistance to first responders in other jurisdictions within the state of Georgia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equipment, Training and Support<\/strong><br \/>\nFunds for the acquisition of supplemental equipment and training are provided to the Woodstock police and fire departments. Funds also may be utilized to provide immediate assistance during critical or emergency public safety situations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shop With a Hero<\/strong><br \/>\nThis annual program, in partnership with the Woodstock police and fire departments, provides aid to local families by purchasing gifts for children in need during the holiday season.
