Aroundabout Local Media<\/a> recently celebrated 24 years of serving Cherokee County by bringing uplifting and local news to our neighbors while supporting local businesses. The time we spent looking through magazines dating back to 1996 left us feeling nostalgic. We started to realize that many of our newer residents \u2014 and some not-so-new \u2014 may not know the county\u2019s history, so we created a lengthy feature in our July 2020 issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the help of Stefanie Joyner and Rebecca Johnston of the Cherokee County Historical Society<\/a>, Samantha Daugherty of Preservation Woodstock<\/a>, Erin Honea of Holly Springs<\/a>, and artist AnnaLysa Kimball<\/a>, we pulled together a multi-page history lesson in each magazine, focusing on the localities specific to those distribution areas. Now, we want to share that with you, all in one PDF that you can access online, for reading or printing (see link below). Feel free to study it, and impress friends and relatives with your knowledge.
