This month’s theme for A Novel Idea is Southern writers. The gathering is 7-9 p.m. at The Snug GastroPub, 190 E. Main St., Canton, where guests will hear from authors Jedwin Smith (“Fatal Treasure”), Mike Brown (“Sanctuary”), Kimberley Brock (“The River Witch”), Michael K. Brown (“Somewhere a River”), Tori Bailey (reading from her “Coming Home” series) and Charles Clifford Brooks (“Athena Departs”). Free and open to the public. Door prizes.
