Celebrating Emily Bowman

April 24, 2015

Celebrate
Emily with Jodi Tiberio and Anna Massey.

Chances are that if you are a Woodstock resident you have heard the story of Emily Bowman. She is a picture of strength and inspiration each day as she fights her battle to regain functions that most take for granted.

Emily is a 2011 Woodstock High School graduate. In February of 2013 she was a vibrant student full of life at Kennesaw State University. During a visit with friends in Athens, GA she was struck by a drunk driver and suffered from a broken pelvis and severe brain injuries. Now, after two years of hard work and therapy, she has many milestones to celebrate.

Many of her accomplishments are chronicled on the Bows for Bowman Facebook page. Smiles, laughter, singing, and baby steps, are all a part of the journey she is taking as she fights for regaining functions.

Each month Branches Boutique and Brooklynn’s owner Jodi Tiberio features a makeover with a partnering Salon. The April issue of the AroundAbout Local Magazines details the superstar treatment Emily and her mom, Debbie, received from Brooklyn’s and Salon and Spa Venessa in celebration of the many milestones accomplished to this point. This shopping trip to Brooklyn’s was the first since Emily sustained her injuries, and according to the information shared by Jodi Tibero in the April issue titled, “Celebrating Emily Bowman,” Emily’s smile and excitement were overwhelmingly present.

Find out more about Emily’s fight at her Facebook page Bows for Bowman and help spread the word during April’s Distracted Driving Awareness Month to help fight against drunk driving and distracted driving.
