We are sure that you have noticed all of the activity going on around Dupree Park recently. The ground breaking for the new fitness trails was this past Monday at 6 pm and beginner mountain biking trails have been underway and are close to completion. Both of these new additions to the Woodstock community are a great opportunity for you and your family to get out and get active in our beautiful parks. But, there is one addition that hasn’t quite started construction because they need your help: The Traveling Rings

What Are the Rings?

The rings are a type of fitness equipment meant for free and public use. You can swing, twirl, play, and perform unique acrobatics on the rings both for fitness and fun. They are a unique set of equipment only found in 5 cities in the world. Ty Hardison is working to make Woodstock, GA city #6 that can claim to have a set of traveling rings for our citizens and visitors to enjoy as they tour Dupree Park and use the new fitness trail to improve their health and wellness.

How You Can Help

Hardison is spearheading the campaign to bring the rings to Woodstock. To help bring the rings to your community, you can make a contribution to the Start Some Good campaign. They have a goal of $10,000 by August 18th. When this article was written, they were at $2,745 with only 17 days left to go – so they need your help!

To find out  more about the Traveling Rings and what your family can look forward to with their addition to Dupree Park, there are all kinds of videos showing off the moves of dedicated “ringers.”

What do you think about bringing the rings to Woodstock?
